CLOSTRIDIOSIS: TETANUS IN CATTLE

Tetanus is a disease caused by bacteria of the genus Clostridium ssp, which affects the herd and causes changes in the central nervous system. The disease causes numerous losses in livestock, in addition to economic loss. The diagnosis is through clinical tests and anamnesis, not necessarily needing laboratory confirmation. The best form of prevention is vaccination of the herd and prophylactic measures of equipment and environment.
