FORMULA:

Each 100 mL contains:
Atropine Sulfate 0.5 g
Aqueous vehicle q.s.p. 100.0 mL

Each mL contains 5mg of atropine sulfate.

INDICATIONS:

Indicated as an antispasmodic in intestinal, urethral and bladder contractions. As a cardiac and respiratory stimulant. In poisoning by organophosphate insecticides and carbamates. As a preanesthetic adjunct, to decrease salivation and secretion from the respiratory tract and to block the vagal reflex in the heart during induction of anesthesia and intubation (restoration of heart rate and blood pressure).

HOW TO USE:

Route of administration: Intramuscular (IM) and intravenous (IV, when necessary).

Preanesthetic adjuvant (0.02 to 0.04mg/kg) – IM Treatment of bradycardia (0.02 to 0.04mg/kg) – IM Cholinergic poisoning and carbamate (0.2 to 2.0 mg/kg) – administer 1/4 of the IV dose and the remainder IM Bronchodilator (0.02 to 0.04mg/kg) – IM for an effect duration of 1-1.5 hours

CONSERVATION:

Store in a dry and cool place, with a temperature between 15°C and 30ºC, away from sunlight and away from the reach of children and pets. After opening, its maximum duration after multidose testing: 30 days.
