Worms are a serious problem in small animal clinics, especially gastrointestinal ones. Anthelmintics are used in dogs for the prevention and control of these infections, as well as in the treatment of those already infected. The prescription of drugs, whether preventive or curative, must be strategic and rational to use, thus avoiding possible resistant parasitosis (PRADO et al., 2021).
