The Atropine Sulfate is a cardio-respiratory stimulant of injectable use on domestic animals.
It is intended as intestinal contractions, urethral and bladder antispasmodic. For intoxication by organophosphate and carbamates insecticides of agricultural use. For poisoning by serine, pilocarpine and arecoline injection. As a morphine and chloroform antidote. Cardiac and respiratory stimulant.
Each 100 mL contains:
Atropine Sulfate …………………………1.00 g
Q.s.p vehicle …………………………….100 mL
Route of administration: Intramuscular or subcutaneous.
Adult Cattle……………………………………… 8 mL to 10 mL
Young cattle (up to 200 Kg)…………………. 3 mL to 5 mL
Adult horses ……………………………………….6 mL to 8 mL
Sheep, Goats and Pigs ………………………. 2 mL to 5 mL
Cats and Dogs ……………………………… 0,1 mL to 0,5 mL
In cases of acute poisoning it is possible to slowly apply an intravenous injection of ¼ of the indicated dose.
