Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid anti-inflammatory medication of injectable use with antiphlogistic and antiallergic action, for cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats use.
INDICATIONS
As anti- inflammatory, it is indicated in the treatment of rheumatism, arthritis, polyarthritis and other joint, muscle or nerve pain syndromes. As anti- allergic, it is indicated in allergic diseases, itching associated with skin diseases, eczema non-specific and anaphylactic states. By its glucogenic effect it is indicated in bovine ketosis, state of shock, blood poisoning and circulatory crisis.
FORMULA
Each 10 ml contains:
Dexamethasone acetate ……………………… 20 mg
Aqueous vehicle qs ……………………………… 10 ml
HOW TO USE
It can be administered by intramuscular, intraarticular or periarticular.
Cattle and Equine adults – 2.5 mg to 5 mg for 100kg/PV (1,25mL to 2.5 mL of product per every 100 kg body weight).
Foals, Sheep, Goats, Pigs and Calves – 0.50mg to 1.0mg to 10kg/PV (0.25 mL to 0.5 mL of product per 10 kg body weight).
Dogs and Cats – 0.25 mg to 0.5 mg to 5 kg/PV (0,125mL to 0.25 mL product for every 5 kg of body weight).
Changes in the way to use at the discretion of the veterinarian.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use in viral infections, animals with tuberculosis, chronic nephritis, peptic and cornea ulcers, and females with advanced state of pregnancy.

Equines: Slaughter- 7 days
Pigs: Slaughter – 7 days
